This semifinal match at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships could easily be the most interesting match in the career of both players as this is a huge opportunity for them. The 28-year-old Marion Bartoli has already advanced to a Grand Slam final, loosing to Venus Williams here in Wimbledon in 2007, but this tournament can be her best and probably also the last chance to win a Grand Slam trophy. Bartoli is know for her unorthodox style of play with two-handed groundstrokes off both sides and also for her fighting abilities and poor movement. But she is a solid grass court player with powerful groundstrokes and is yet to drop a set this year in Wimbledon. Her opponent will be 27-year-old Belgian player Kirsten Flipkens who is having a great season this year. In the end Flipkens was ranked just inside the Top200 one year ago and now reached her career-first Grand Slam semifinal after defeating 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in last round. Also Flipkens has a nice game for grass with good serve, variety and sliced backhand that is not easy to handle on this surface. Surprisingly enough these two have never met before but we are expecting Marion Bartoli to advance to the final as she is the more experienced and mentally stronger player and recommend you to place a tennis bet on her.
